It has been confirmed by the Coordination Committee of Major Islamic Centres and Mosques Fasting will begin on Saturday 22nd of August 2009. All Taraweeh prayers will be held tomorrow Friday 21st of August 2009.

Ramadan Timetable UK and Ireland has finally arrived!

We now have most of our timetables updated on our website. Please bear with us as we are still in the process of updating a few more cities and counties. Before you download a timetable, please ensure it is in red font and not in black. As the red font timetables are the latest and updated timetables for 2009, whereas the black font timetables are last years of 2008. You may notice some changes as we are still continuing to update the website.

We are still having difficulty in obtaining timetables from the following counties and cities: Bradford, York, Oxfordshire, Derby, Hampshire, Exeter Devon, Hemel Hempstead, Norwich, Mansfield and Farnham If you think you can help or have friends relatives or family there, then please get them to get in touch with us with a copy of their local Ramadan Timetable. The timetables will need to have the details from where it was obtained from or where it was produced, such as a mosque, community centre etc as we also publish this information alongside all our timetables, send your timetables to This email address is being protected from spambots. Last year due to a website revamp we were still able to get most of our timetables up and running a day or two before Ramadan without any complaints. Strangely enough this year i think the demand for timetables is higher hence i had been inundated with emails as to why we did not have any timetables up and running yet. Like everybody else we have also had difficutly in obtaining timetables. This is due to the Mosques and Community Centres that provide their timetables to us had also not published or produced their own timetables. Each year we experience this problem as Mosques and Community Centres tend to produce timetables in the last week building upto Ramadan. It then becomes a bigger task to get them all up and running in the last week before Ramadan. On top of that some of our leads and contacts run cold each year which means we are having to find and chase up new leads from the various cities and counties each year.

Ramadan Timetable UK and Ireland will also be launching a Nasheed (Song) dedicated radio station just for the month of Ramadan! This means wherver you are whatever your doing you will be able to listen to 24/7 Ramadan Radio online! We aim to have all our Nasheed's and Islamic songs to be primarily in english language as much as possible. The purpose of our radio station is to target our Non-Muslim visitors and our New Muslim audience and of course to cater for our large english based visitors from around the world, in particular for new muslims who practice Ramadan each year - this is for you!

I believe this year Ramadan Timetable UK and Ireland has done a much better job than previous years in providing Ramadan Timetable's on time, infact a week before Ramadan is to begin for 2009, all thanks go out to those who have helped us make this possible.
