When is Ramadan 2013?

Ramadan 2015 is likely to begin on either Thursday 18th June or on Friday 19th June 2015, this is not yet confirmed and is dependent upon the sighting of the new moon.

Bookmark this site and visit us again in the coming days when we will make an official announcement for the start of Ramadan 2015. We will also announce dates for both Eid ul-Fitr and Eid ul-Adha.

Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) said:

'Whenever you sight the new moon observe fast, and when you sight it break it and if the sky is cloudy for you, then observe fast for thirty days.'

This second diagram shows the visibility of the new crescent Moon on Wednesday 17 June 2015. As you can see it is now visible in South America and also parts of South Africa. This is not confirmation but only indicates Eid is likely to be on either Thursday 18th or Friday 19th of June 2015.
